Sensory and Fine Motor Play Group Therapy
Our Play Groups are run by an occupational therapist and/or occupational therapy staff who address individual goals within the context of a group. Our play groups provide opportunities for children to engage in fun activities with similar aged peers while developing social skills, developmental skills, and life skills. Our occupational therapist will designs and modifies every activity for each participant's abilities, needs, and goals so everyone can thrive in their new skills.
Play groups for toddlers or group therapy for school-aged children can help with the following:
- Cooperative play
- Turn taking
- Social problem solving
- Impulsivity
- Maintaining a ‘just right’ arousal state for social interaction
- Sharing and listening to others to create joint ideas
- Decreasing aggression/reactivity toward peers
- Staying in relationship while angry, frustrated, or sad
- Navigating social interactions
Who Would Benefit?
Children who demonstrate difficulty with:
- Sensory processing
- Muscle tone or strength
- Motor planning
- Self-regulation
- Receptive/expressive language
- Communicating needs, wants, and ideas
- Social skills
- Self-help skills
- Play skills
- Handwriting skills
- Attending to group activities
Type of group:
- Sensory Integration/Regulation/social and fine motor combine
Group Information
Group size: Between 2-4 participants per one therapist.
Time: 30-45 minutes (includes 1 baseline assessment session and 6 group sessions)
Cost: $50/week, with a 6-week interval.
Day(s): Tuesdays or Thursdays, 4:00 PM or 4:30 PM.

Enrollment and Scheduling
Prior to enrollment, a phone interview will be scheduled with you and your child to determine if group is the right fit!
